What Is A Keyword/s? And How Do They Work?

First off welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my latest post...

One way to explain what a keyword is! Every time you surf the internet using google/bing or yahoo and you type into the search engine a word or a group of words to find what you are looking for, these words are keywords!

Another example, using the title of this article “Internet Income-Affiliate marketing-keywords Explained!” there is more than one keyword being used...

1.    Internet
2.    Income
3.    Affiliate
4.    Marketing
5.    Keywords

When more than one keyword is strung together they are also known as keywords or a keyword phrase. If we look at the title above the first keyword is “Internet” telling the reader that the information within relates to the Internet, the next is “income” telling them that it also relates to Income and so on.

When used in a website title or an article title a keyword/s help to sum up the writer’s intentions and the overall theme of the website or source of information very quickly and it enables the visitor to see if the information is relevant to what they may be searching for.

Now a keyword/s and how they are used isn’t just about a title in an article, keywords are an essential part of the Internet as a whole, as they help the search engines such as google evaluate the website owners information and it helps them rank that information and its overall relevancy to a particular niche/subject that the visitors using those search engines maybe looking for.

Keywords are used in many different online marketing strategies such as a typical website, within a website keywords can be used in the...

1.    Websites url name.
2.    Websites title.
3.    Websites description.
4.    Websites content.

Keywords from a website owner’s point of view are like “nuggets of gold” and when applied in the right place, they become powerful components in any marketer’s online endeavours to drive quality traffic to their websites! Relevancy is at the core of how these keywords work best for the online marketer. This form of using keywords to benefit the most from them is called SEO (search engine optimization)

In addition to a keyword and a keyword phrase there is also what is known online as “long tail” keywords, an example of this is again the title of my article above. The title and its use of keywords tells the viewer as mentioned above that the information I am supplying relates to “Internet Income” then “affiliate marketing” but more specifically it’s about “Keywords” and finally it’s explained! So a long tail keyword phrase is usually used when the subject matter is targeted to a specific “sub niche” rather than a “broad niche” subject.

A little off topic but equally as important for a successful start online and to help you with better odds of creating a good internet income, is to reduce competition by choosing the right keywords and in particular “long tail” keywords before designing your site, when you do this it will give you a definite advantage over those who don’t!

How marketers do this is by selecting their overall niche (subject) that they will base their website around and then they take the time to do some keyword research based on the “niche” they have chosen. They find out what popular keywords and phrases are being searched for online locally and global and how much competition there is for them.

What to use to do this is google “adwords keywords tool”. Let’s say you have an interest in body sculpting and you wanted to create a website around these keywords “body sculpting” then you would type this into the google “adwords keywords” tool and it will give you a list of associated keywords and keywords phrase that people are searching for online, it will also give you associated stats for the local and global search volume and competition for those words, obviously the more competition the harder it will be to market around this term if your just starting out.

Although there is a lot more to be learnt about keywords and the different ways they can be used, it is my hope that what I have shared with you today will give you a basic idea of what they are and how they work.
Thanks for your time. Kind regards,

Internet Income-Affiliate Marketing-Choosing A Product Best Suited To You!

First off welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my article...

Following on from my previous article titled Internet Income-Affiliate Marketing- What Is A Niche? And Choosing The Right One Best Suited To You! where we covered the basics of what a niche is, today we are going to look at choosing a product related to your chosen niche.

Assuming you read my last article named above there is something important I would like to add to it before we go ahead and dive in to today’s information, as it relates to this article also. In the last article I suggested you choose a “niche” based around something you know a little or a lot about or something you have an existing hobby or genuine interest in and for the best part this is true, but what I didn’t clarify is that in some cases the interests/hobbies that you may have may not be in high demand online in which case finding a successful directly related product to promote could be a hard job!

So to get around this problem you may need to choose another “niche” that you still have a genuine interest in but choose a “niche” that you know is going to be a popular subject. Examples of well searched “main niche” subjects are “making money” “health” “wealth” and “love”. So if you can’t find a good “niche” best suited to what your interests are then it’s a safe bet to look at something related to what I’ve just listed above as a kick-off!

So with that out of the way let’s move on to our topic of today choosing a product!

Assuming you have a “niche” in mind the next part of the picture is for you to choose a product related to your “niche” that you wish to promote. To best explain how to do this we will use an example of one of the “niches” named above, the “health niche” let’s say that for you have had a problem in the past with “insomnia” and you have chosen this as your “sub niche” of the “health niche” you have a blog that you have posted handy tips and ideas and now you are looking for a related product to promote as an affiliate marketer to start making an Internet Income from.

Before you decide a product to promote you will want to look at the needs and wants of your visitors, you need to look at this from your visitors perspective first. To do this you need to ask yourself what information do I offer that’s attracting the visitors to my blog, what issues could they be facing? Obviously it pertains to insomnia but there are a lot of different variables involved with insomnia, it could be a link to stress, diet, depression, anxiety it could be weight related there may be many other reasons!

What’s Important is you take the time to look at your visitors reasons that prompted them to visit your blog in the first place. Write down as many possible scenarios as you can and look at what type of information/resolves you could offer them that they may want and need. By doing this you then have a clearer idea, the type of resolves you can offer your visitor and based on the list you generate you can then go to an affiliate merchant and pick yourself as relevant a product to your visitors needs as you possibly can.

Relevant being the key because the chances are if they are visiting a blog related to insomnia then it’s more than likely they are looking for a resolve to their problem/s then and there and if you have the closest related information and product that matches their problems, wants and needs then they are more than likely going to purchase that information/product through you!

So let’s assume again that you have your list of what your future visitors may be searching for so next you will want to decide the type of affiliate product you wish to promote, affiliate products can come in many different forms and are available from many different places online.  Using again the example of the “insomnia niche” It’s likely that the visitors to your blog are looking for a quick-fix as is the case with most visitors, so the quicker you can get their resolve to them the more likely they will purchase the product through you!

So that being the case a product that comes in digital form would best suit the needs of your visitor as it can be purchased through you and downloaded for them to listen, watch or read immediately after the purchase. These types of products are called digital products. They are “how-to” type products.

One merchant that is well known to affiliates that supply digital “how-to” type products is clickbank.com and they have products that cover a huge range of “niche” and “sub-niche” subjects, relating to “wealth” “health” “love” and many others. These products come in the form of digital downloads such as... MP3, MP4, and PDF.

But if you’re in a niche such as electrical products/gadgets that doesn’t require the same urgency then you may want to look at physical goods to promote as an affiliate in which case amazon.com will be your better suited choice of merchant.
If you aren’t totally sure what products to get from where you could also go to offervault.com put in the description of your “niche” and it will tell you affiliate merchants that offer the kind of products/services you are looking for.

So based on what I’ve told you above hopefully this will help you understand the basics of what to do and where to go from here towards successfully choosing a relevant product best suited to your chosen “niche”.
Thanks again for taking the time to read my article and I hope it helps you out with your future online success.

In my next article we will have a look at keywords.

Till then take care! Kind regards,

Internet Income-Affiliate Marketing- What Is A Niche? And Choosing The Right One Best Suited To You!

First off welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my article...
Once you understand the basic process of affiliate marketing and you've decided that this is the way you wish to generate an Internet Income then next on your agenda will be to choose a "niche" but first let's find out what a niche is...

A niche is another term for a subject, there are many niches that you could find to make a start in generating an Internet Income. In affiliate and Internet marketing terms there are two niche types the first is a "main niche" the second is a "sub niche" the sub niche is related information to the main niche and both niches could be on just about any subject matter that you could possibly think of.

Let's have a look at a main niche using an analogy of a car we would place a car under the niche of "transportation". Transportation would then become the subject title and also the main niche, any other related information for example...

Fast cars, sports cars, European cars etc could be classed as sub niches of transportation.
Not to complicate things but in addition to what is stated above, the example of the title "cars" could also be a main niche of which anything related such as...

Cars of the eighties, sports cars and other related information could be described as sub niches. Basically you have a main niche like a subject title that all other related information (sub niches) pertains too.

Now that we've covered what a niche is the next part of the picture you will want to look at is what niche is the best niche for you to promote a related product/s in! Although this is slightly off topic I think it's important that you understand that if your intention is to indeed make money from affiliate marketing that you choose the right niche to start in! How you go about doing this is actually quite simple.First off you need to ask yourself some questions such as...

What are my interests that I'm involved with on a daily or weekly basis? Examples of this could be reading, writing, dancing, crafts and anything else that you may know a little or a lot about! It could be an ongoing hobby or passion that you have had since childhood or something that is relatively new.
In a nut shell choosing any niche that is related to something you are passionate about will be the very place to get started in.

Starting out as an affiliate marketer involves a number of components/actions that you will need to use and to do to make sales! But starting off by understanding the basics involved and that includes understanding what a niche is and choosing the right niche will be of most benefit to you!

Why? Because if you start off by choosing a niche that is related to your interests/hobbies and the like, then the chances are you would be far more likely to stick with what you've started and you will have a genuine interest and knowledge that will back up your chances of success and many other reasons as well. It just makes good sense!

If you think back to your school years, what were the best marks you got? I'm betting it had something to do with something you had a genuine interest in and something you knew a little or a lot about or something you were passionate about, right?

The same can be said for affiliate marketing and choosing a good niche, so to give yourself the very head-start that you deserve, start off by following the rule above!
In my next article we will have a look at how to choose related niche products.

Thanks again for your time! All the very best with your future online success!
Kind regards,
Worral.
